Out on the Town

New + Noteworthy > Zio Romolo's

You can’t bear the thought of trekking downtown to find another warehouse-size, attitude-filled club. But, at the same time, you’re not ready to surrender to the Friday-night Netflix special either.

Another option?

How about the just-opened Zio Romolo’s Alley Bar?

Located off Zuni in the Lower Highlands area, Zio Romolo's is a classic bar with a no-fuss vibe. This new joint has managed to strike the perfect balance between old school bar and historic art deco lounge.

Situated behind (and attached to) Pasquini's, Zio Romolo's is decked out with all the traditional trappings of a well worn in pub and features an ornate tin roof ceiling, deco hanging lamps and a barstools-only bar. There's also a room off to the side that's outfitted with a slew of tables and scads of flat-screen TV’s.

When you go though, make sure not to miss all the unexpected details they've incorporated into the space including a 1940's matchbook dispensing machine, retro neon Coors sign and an original Coca-Cola painted wall that canvases nearly the entire space.

Go on, belly up to the bar, order an Old Fashioned and enjoy the vintage view.
