Best Little Bite: Piccolo

Broken heart? Fight with the boss? Missed deadline?

Aside from a stiff cocktail, another fail-safe and almost guaranteed mood booster is ice cream. But a few fat-laden scoops can really interfere with your body’s Mojo. In that case, Gelato is the next best thing.

Located right off North Damen Avenue, this locally owned Italian gelato shop sells a whole array of mind-numbingly delicious gelato concoctions. Feel like being a kid again? Opt for the chef special, the Hot Chocolate Carivnal. And, if sweets isn’t gonna do it for you, Piccolo (Italian for small) also serves mix-and-match Bruschetta bites. We liked the Brie-honey-prosciutto combo and white anchovy with pesto-infused oil. They can also whip up a made-to-order panini or a fresh salad too

Go ahead. Grab your spoon. Heck, get a shovel. It’s sure to cure whatever ails you.
