It's Monday, people. The word of the day is ambition.
Your inspiration: Rheon Cafe
Sure, you can hit Balthazar for your usual cup of Joe and croissant, but why not take a little diversion from the everyday and check out Rheon Cafe, the latest spawn of Hisanobu Osaka (former sous-chef at Morimoto) and high-tech appliance manufacturer Rheon.
The result: a new Soho eatery where kitchen appliance aficionados (you know who you are, Mr. Sub-Zero and Viking) can see all the
latest kitchen gear and futuristic robots
serve up a whole host of Osaka's Asian-tinged pastries, soups and
salads,

and sandwiches. Your best bets are the fresh-baked chocolate croissant or, if you're there midday, the Roast Duck with cucumber and special miso sauce or Prosciutto with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and sesame mayo (all served on freshly baked bread using Rheon machines, of course).
High-Tech never tasted so good.
